Tucked in sloping hillsides, only 8 minutes driving from medieval Trujillo, the two typical Extremadura 19 th century farmhouses of the Finca, were one of the first half-abandoned farms to be renovated in the 19 nineties and converted into a country inn, but keeping alive, on an amateur level, some of its agricultural activity. Now, city folk and nature lovers enjoy the quiet walks beyond the spacious lawns and the two swimming pools. Accompanied by the farm dogs, they marvel at the variety of birds circling between the olive groves, vineyards and orchards. Passing under century old cork-oaks and towering umbrella pine trees on the crest of the 30 hectares estate, they enjoy stunning views on the countryside : not far away, a range of hills ; and nearer by, beneath the slope, the quaint hamlet of San Clemente (80 inhabitants..). At sunset, its soft sounding church bells blend into the countryside.
